MVSDA Church Outreach #1 Follow Up
Hi again Pastor Julio and Don, I just wanted to follow up on my note below in case it got buried. I know introductory emails can sometimes feel a little generic, so I wanted to clarify that this isn’t mass outreach or marketing. I was impressed by your capital campaign website and appreciate your intent to phase construction, as many churches get caught up with construction project oversized for their funding capacity. It looks like you’re off to a great start. No pressure at all if now is not the right time. I would still be glad to connect for 15–20 minutes, learn a bit more about what you are working toward, and see if there is any useful perspective I can offer from other non-profit and community projects. Thanks again, Braden Swab, P.Eng., PMP W treestream.com P (403) 660-6468 L linkedin.com/in/braden-swab From: Braden Swab Sent: June 8, 2026 4:34 PM To: 'pastor@mountainviewadventist.ca' <pastor@mountainviewadventist.ca> Cc: 'sage@albertaadventist.ca' <sage@albertaadventist.ca> Subject: Mountain View Building Campaign Hi Pastor Julio and Don, I came across Mountain View’s Building to Serve campaign and wanted to reach out. First, I'd like to congratulate you on the progress toward the first fundraising goal. It is encouraging to see a church thinking intentionally about a facility that supports ministry, community, and long-term growth. I founded Tree Stream Consulting here in Calgary with a focus on projects like yours. I provide Owner's Project Management support for non-profit, church, camp, recreation, and community-focused construction projects. My role is to help organizations navigate the complexity of planning, design, and construction confidently. For many churches, building projects are significant undertakings that happen only once or twice in a generation, so I work alongside leadership teams to provide clear guidance, coordinate project contributors, manage risks, and help avoid costly surprises as the project moves forward. I realize you may already have a strong team in place, so I don't want to assume there is a specific need for my services. I would simply value the opportunity to connect for 20 minutes, learn how Mountain View is approaching the next stage of the campaign, and compare notes on how churches can protect themselves through design and construction while keeping ministry as the central focus. Don, I also understand you serve in broader Alberta Conference ministry roles, so I would be interested in your perspective on whether other churches run into similar facility planning challenges between vision, fundraising, design, and construction. Would either of you be open to a brief introductory call this week or next? Thanks, Braden Swab, P.Eng., PMP W treestream.com P (403) 660-6468 L linkedin.com/in/braden-swab
